Hole in foundation wall

Hi folks, have a question about filling a hole in the foundation cinderblock wall.We re-ran our gas line and this brick crumbled a little too much. What’s the best way to fill this in? I’ve read way too many things online already, but all of it usually focuses around filling cracks, not holes and next to a gas line.I already have some Quickrete bags from previous work I’ve done, and a neighbor said I should fill it with non-expandable foam before sealing it, or use newspaper, which sounds like extreme ends of the spectrum to me.The hole is about 5-6 inches, and I do have access to both sides (outside and from inside the crawlspace.)Please let me know what you all think. Thanks in advance!https://ift.tt/35bgFJc via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/3n9ZKx2
