Home made transformer core

For a few months now, I’ve been tinkering with making home made ferrite parts.I’ve slowly been perfecting the process, and I recently made this! It’s basically %80 iron powder mixed with %20 polyurethane slow cure resin, with an additional %20 acetone added in to make it easier to pour into a mold (The acetone should completely evaporate, so I’m not including it in the %100). It will still be soft after you pull it out of the mold, so it’s a good idea to bake it.In the comments I’ll link a video I made (Auto-mods remove posts with YT links) a while ago comparing home-made ferrite to real ferrite, though I have been steadily been improving its performance since that video was made. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/3bqkoa1
