Tiling a round hearth … how to, looking for advice

So, we recently bought a house, and we were required to get a W.E.T.T inspection on our wood stove. We failed, and we were told to expand the hearth to 18″ total, I think currently we’re at 13″We plan to redo the entire room with a full renovation at one point, but for now, I would like to just add a row of tiles in front.I’ve never done tiling, and I have no idea where to begin. I can’t find anything really about how to tile a rounded edge like this. Most stuff is how to cut a tile to go around something like a pipe.https://ift.tt/3jfMTZX (Tiles placed as example to show where the tiles need to go)Not sure where to begin here. Do the tiles need to be cut to fit? How would I measure each cut? Can I just fill the gaps? It will be some time before our full renovation, so I’d like this to look nice for the time being. Thanks! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/3tt18PF
