Install shower surround over drywall?

Bought this Flexstone shower surround kit from Lowes. But wanting to install it over existing drywall.I cut out the baseboard trim so the acrylic shower pan/base butts up against the drywall. However, when I slide the side acrylic shower wall panel down into it, there’s like a 1/8” gap between at the bottom of the shower wall where it bumps out because the shower pan/base has that top lip for drilling it into the wall.   Is this okay? via /r/DIY
