Can you guys settle this. Best lubricant for metal framed sliding screen door…silicone, WD40, or something else?

OK buddy saw me about to spray silicone lubricant to smooth out the track on the metal framed sliding screen door and insists that WD40 is way better.I said he’s full of crap. I don’t even think WD40 is a lubricant but instead a de-greaser and will leave residue and other gunk.So….silicone….WD40…..or something else? via /r/DIY
