Marking ceiling to differentiate old vs. new coat?

Hi all, thank you in advance…I can’t find anything online about this particular problem.I am painting a small bedroom ceiling. It already has 2 coats of Behr Ultra Pure White ceiling paint. The paint was drying too fast so was difficult to keep a wet edge. Now I’m adding extender and doing another coat.I’d like to do this methodically and one problem I’ve had with the previous coats is it’s so hard to differentiate the current wet coat and old dry coat. Is there a recommended way to mark the current ceiling so that it’s easier to see my progress as I’m painting? via /r/DIY
