Drilled a hole in my ductwork via /r/DIY

Drilled a hole in my ductwork

I’m 95% sure it’s not a big deal, but I’d be more comfortable if someone would confirm my suspicions.

I’m mounting a TV on one of my living room walls. I was able to drill the right side of the mount directly into a stud, but the left side couldn’t be drilled into a stud, so I screwed a couple of snap toggle anchors into the wall. On the other side of this particular wall is a half bathroom. I wasn’t aware there was ductwork behind the wall, but low an behold, there is and sure enough I ended drilling two holes into the ductwork. After some web sleuthing, I’m fairly confident I just drilled into some air ducts for the bathroom, those holes aren’t a big deal at all, and can easily be sealed with duct tape.

Can anyone confirm for me? Thanks!
