Can I prevent the smell from getting in my home when my neighbors cook/burn garlic nearly every evening?
Hello, I am desperate for a solution to this problem. I live in a condo and my neighbors cook (and frequently burn) garlic almost nightly. Their front door/kitchen exhaust is about 15 feet from mine. They keep their windows and doors shut as far as I can tell. We keep our windows and doors shut, fans turned off, and we recently replaced the foam/weather-seal on the inside frame of the front door, which helped a bit, but the smell still manages to seep in. I also have 2 Hepa filters running 24/7, which I replace regularly, but they don't do jack squat for the smell.
This isn’t a faint odor I'm talking about but rather an extremely potent stench that can be smelled from the parking lot. It physically makes me sick to my stomach. I am desperate to keep the smell from getting in. I have not spoken to my neighbors about this as I don’t believe it is reasonable to ask someone not to cook something in their own home. Anyone have any creative and/or obvious solutions? Is there a way to positively pressurize my condo?
Also, I cannot use things like Febreze because fragrance gives me nausea and migraines. And I'd like to prevent the smell from getting in, not just cover it up. Thanks a million.
