I a tools closet that I want to build LEDs inside that will gradually glow on as the door to the closet opens – how to do this for a fair price?
Ideally this thing is powered on its own. Running electrical is very hard. I could do a motion light adhered to the wall, but was considering something that doesn't need a sensors always checking for motion.
I figure the door can be in sync with some kind of potentiometer that reaches a "turn-on" threshold when the door or halfway open. As the more the door opens, the lights glow brighter, reaching its brighten when the door is fully opened.
I couldn't find a 1-2 products on amazon that could achieve this. Does Reddit have an idea for how this can be done for < $50?
