Hanging laundry room cabinets but one cabinet only has access to one stud?
So I'm installing some (2) laundry room cabinets. The studs are positioned in such a way where the cabinet on the left will only be supported by one stud, and the cabinet on the right has two studs. I know about french cleats, and that cabinets can be hung by a hanging board going across all the studs, then the cabinet gets attached to that board. I am trying to avoid that as the way I've constructed the cabinet would mean my cabinet would be offset another 3/4 off the wall and I don't want that.
So my question is, if the right cabinet is attached to the two studs, and the left cabinet is attached to the one stud AND secured to the right cabinet, is the left cabinet sufficiently supported? I figure at this point the cabinets are acting as one unit and so the load is shared across 3 studs.
Appreciate the input!
