Replace windows at beginning or end of renovation? via /r/DIY

Replace windows at beginning or end of renovation?

Hi everyone. Based in the UK so obviously the house is of brick and mortar construction.

Basically I’m doing a “live in” renovation of the house and I’m wondering whether it’s best to replace the windows and doors (double glazing and composite doors to be fitted) before the major internal works are done.

Internally basically all the rooms need to be replastered etc. Including a lot of remedial work to the plaster around the windows apertures.

Curious on peoples thoughts.
