Water Stop on Driveway via /r/DIY

Water Stop on Driveway

We just bought a new home. A small part (3 ft) at the end of the driveway is inclined so that water would flow towards the garage (not the builders fault – it’s due to some work we’re having done). We’re looking for a way to ensure water doesn’t make it all the way to the garage. My wife was wanting to cut a gap in the driveway so that the water would just flow down but that seems like a bad idea to me. I was thinking of a long rubber pad that stretched the width of the driveway. Any help with som more or better ideas?
