Upstairs laminate landing

Cut carpet and padding where I planned to put the transition pieces. Later I cut just the padding an extra 1/2\" under the carpet so that I could staple the carpet to floorboard and place transition piece 1/2\" over stapled carpet. Made a very \"clean\" transition.
Cut pieces with table saw, then jigsaw and then glued down with liquid nails while covering up 1/2\" of carpet that had the staples. Again have no idea if any of this is frowned upon, but it worked great so I don't really care if it's not the \"right way\" to do it.
