Slice 1mm out of a wooden cabinet opening to fit a porta-potty with only basic tools
Hello everyone here,
I have a sort of cabinet in my new (second hand) camper van under the bed. I wanted to fit a porta-potty chemical toilet in there (no sh*t). The porta potty is 31 cm high, as is the opening.
You guessed it, it just doesn't fit. I COULD maybe force it in, but I'm not gonna attempt that, knowings the content of the thing being forced (again, no sh*t). The opening consists of cheap but sturdy composite wood, about 5 cm deep. I would need 40cm wide opening. There is plenty of space behind it (the opening is lower than the actual cabinet behind).
How would you go about removing 1 or 2 mm of wood that is 5 cm deep? Additional challenge being that I don't have any tools other than screwdrivers & hammers and a carpet knife (I could borrow a power drill). I also would need it to be done cleany as it's a visible spot, simply chopping away won't do.
Thanks a bunch!
