Fresh garlic/off yoghurt smell in bathroom
I've on and off had a bad smell in our bathroom. Usually it smells like really bad cooking, which I don't think it is as our and next doors kitchen are at the opposite side of the house (also usually happens at uncommon times to cook).
It sometimes smells like sour milk or yoghurt, last night it overwhelmingly smelt like fresh garlic. I have no idea what this is.
Upon research it seems like it might be sewer gases coming in where a pipe isn't sealed properly. But it's an on and off smell – usually at night – wouldn't I smell sewage most of the time? And the pipes shouldn't be drying out over time as it's the most used bathroom. However whatever I've found on other forums doesn't quite describe what I'm experiencing. And it never smells like an actual sewer.
My partner thinks it's coming from the radiator but I'm not so sure.
