Two house fans one (wireless?) switch via /r/DIY

Two house fans one (wireless?) switch

I'm thinking about installing a paired whole house fan (quiet cool diy knockoff I found on youtube) It has two individual fans instead of one with high/low. I was wondering if there was a cheap 'n easy way to control the two fans separately/together from a wireless switch.

I want 1 fan for "low" and both fans as "high"

In my head it's like those old 3 setting lamps (50, 100, 150 – so fan 1, fan 2, both) best I could come up with was a 3 circuit RF switch and just use 2 of the buttons.

Bonus question: All the OEM whole house fans seem to want a timer, not 100% sure why. I don't think I need it, but maybe there's a reason I'm just not thinking of?
