How to repair holes in barrier wall?

I have a brick exterior wall with this "felt board"(?) on the back of the stud wall, insulation, then a plastic vapor barrier (I think it's a bit much from what I read for that last plastic vapor barrier but that's something else).

I need to patch up these holes, since there was a lot of missing insulation since critters are obviously getting in there to steal it in the winter. What's the best way for fixing this up to have the best barrier? Just glue up some thin pieces of wood or something more?
