When turning on home air conditioner, it sounds normal at first, like freon coming to inside unit, but then the freon abruptly stops with everything continuing. It blows cool air for about a minute or less, then just weak non-cooled air.

It sounds like the cooling/freon literally hits a wall and comes to an abrupt stop a few seconds after turning unit on. Cold air for only a minute or less, then no longer. When I turn unit off, I check the evaporator coil and there's no cold there, nothing to defrost.

The outside unit also fluctuates in humming.
