Cutting a doweled stockade fence

I bought some stockade fence panels from Lowes, the kind like in the link below, with the 'doweled' rails and matching posts with three holes in them. The size is 6' x 8' and I know I'm going to have to cut that 8' width on at least one panel. How is that done? If I cut the end of the rails I'll no longer be able to get them into the holes in the fence post.
