Help with a stair runner that takes three steps to turn 90 degrees

I have a floral patterned runner with a border that I need to take up a set of stairs that turns 90 degrees over three steps.

All the tutorials I can find either use a solid or very simply patterned runner (clearly what we should have done) or they show the 90 degree turn being accomplished with a landing.

All I can think to do is try to miter the three 30 degree steps. In the unlikely event that I’m able to do that well, I’m worried it’s still going to look weird.

Is there a better, simpler option? Time travel and/or ritual suicide with a carpet tucker are not (currently) being considered.
